How to Play the Game of Roulette

Roulette is played on a table where you either have the wheel on one end of the roulette table or you have it in the middle. The table layout is the place where players make their bets. If the wheel is on one end of the table then the layout of the roulette table will be found on the other end. The numbers on the roulette table layout corresponds to the numbers you find on the roulette wheel. The numbers will be arranged on three columns with 12 numbers for each column.
An American roulette wheel will have a zero and a double zero while the European and French roulette wheels will only have the single green zero. Therefore some wheels will have 37 slots on them and other wheels will have 38 slots.
You play the game of roulette by first placing your bets on the table layout. You bet on a single number or groups of numbers. Players can even bet a column of numbers or a row of three numbers. Other betting options include being able to bet on a dozen numbers, betting on the color of the number the ball will land on, or even a bet if the winning number will be odd or even.
So, after choosing their bets, players then slide their chips to the corresponding wagers they would like to make. The croupier or dealer then spins the wheel and then rolls the ball after in the opposite direction on the roulette wheel's track.
An important note players might like to remember is that they can still make their bets during this stage of the game. When the ball and the roulette wheel starts to slow down in pace, the dealer will announce that no more bets will be allowed. The ball then falls on a slot on the roulette wheel.
